Swades

I frequently watch one brilliantly directed scene from film "Swades" in which Shahrukh Khan argues with some Indian villagers. His arguments are reasonable.
I wonder why so many young Indians waste their energy and time blaming others for backwardness of Indian economy than providing helping hand in "राष्ट्रनिर्मिती " ?

मैं नहीं मानता हमारा देश दुनिया का सब से महान देश है |
लेकिन, यह जरूर मानता हु हम मे काबिलियत है, ताकद है, अपने देश को महान बनानेकी |

अमेरिका ने अपने बल्बुदे पर तरक्की की है और उनके अपने संस्कार है, अपनी परंपरा है,अब यह कहना उनकी सोच विचार, उनका रहन सहन, उनकी मान्यताये ख़राब है और अपनी महान यह गलत है |

Sweet Lullaby - a must listen piece of art

Until now, I never thought of knowing the meaning of this very relaxing song. This is a sad song describing a teen brother’s words for his younger sibling after their father is gone. Singer of this song is believed to be a tribal woman named “Afunakwa” from Solomons island of Malaita which died in 1998.
